Dentures
Denture repair, relines and new dentures — at home
Signs your dentures need attention
Gums and bone change shape over time, so even a well-made denture eventually stops fitting. More adhesive is not the answer — a loose denture needs a reline or adjustment.
- They slip or click when talking or eating
- More and more adhesive is needed to keep them in
- There are sore spots or ulcers under the denture
- A tooth has come off, or the denture is cracked or chipped
- Eating has become harder, or certain foods are avoided
What we do at home
Relines: we reshape the fitting surface of the denture so it sits snugly on the gums again. A denture reline is $500.
Repairs: cracked bases, broken or missing teeth and damaged clasps can often be fixed. Denture repair is priced after we see the denture — call us for a price. Please don't glue a broken denture; keep all the pieces.
Adjustments: we smooth and adjust areas that rub or cause sore spots.
New dentures: a denture (any type) is $3,500 and includes all fitting visits and two adjustment visits. A flipper (temporary tooth) is $1,000.
